Group Stage Timeline
Action begins on Oct. 30 and continues every Friday through Nov. 27. Special Cup nights are scheduled for Nov. 24 and Nov. 25. Each of the 30 teams plays four group games, one against every other member of its five-team pool.
Advancement and Knockout Rounds
The six group winners plus the best record among the remaining teams move to the knockout stage. Quarterfinals take place Dec. 4-5 at home sites, followed by semifinals on Dec. 8 or Dec. 9. The championship game is set for Dec. 11 at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Group Composition
Teams were placed into pots based on the prior season's finish and drawn into six groups of five. East Group B features the New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers. The final two games for non-qualifiers and a makeup contest for quarterfinal losers will complete each team's 82-game regular-season schedule.
