Brentford move to keep Schade

Arsenal and Liverpool are showing growing interest in Kevin Schade, with Brentford opening preliminary discussions over an improved contract for the Germany international. The 24-year-old winger has reached the final two years of his agreement. Arsenal and Liverpool were the strongest contenders for his signature toward the end of the summer window, while Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur also remain interested. Schade has scored three goals across five Premier League appearances this season. Brentford’s push for fresh terms comes as they look to fend off attention from clubs seeking another attacking option.

Bastoni attracts defensive interest

Barcelona have renewed their consideration of Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni, who also remains on the radar of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City. Inter resisted summer interest by maintaining a valuation near £70 million for the 27-year-old. His suitability for a back three is an attraction for Chelsea, while Liverpool and City are considering their longer-term plans beyond Virgil van Dijk and Rúben Dias. Liverpool also have a potential permanent deal to assess for Ronald Araújo. The Barcelona loanee has impressed across seven appearances, including five starts, and the Reds hold a €55 million purchase option. His ability to cover both central defence and right-back has strengthened his case.

Llorente’s contract draws attention

Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City are monitoring Marcos Llorente as the Atlético Madrid midfielder approaches the end of his contract in the summer. Atlético are negotiating an extension with the 31-year-old and remain confident of reaching an agreement. The Premier League clubs are nevertheless assessing whether his versatility could become available to them.
