Injury Recovery Timeline
Colorado's Logan O'Connor and Zachary L'Heureux are both recovering from lower-body injuries and could suit up for the first time this season. The team expects the forwards to be available for either the game in Winnipeg or the contest at Calgary, and possibly both. L'Heureux has been a full participant in recent practice sessions after a quick rehab process.
Strong Opening for Colorado
The Avalanche have opened the season with a 2-0 record and have already scored 14 goals. O'Connor missed the first 69 games last season following hip surgery but appeared in all 13 of the team's playoff contests.
L'Heureux's NHL Experience
L'Heureux arrived in a June trade that also brought center Fedor Svechkov to the club in exchange for forward Jack Drury. A first-round selection by Nashville in 2021, he has appeared in 87 career NHL games, recording nine goals and 11 assists along with 84 penalty minutes. The forward also served a suspension during the 2024-25 season.
