Receiver Room Faces Multiple Absences
The Bills ruled out wide receiver Joshua Palmer and defensive tackle Ed Oliver for Monday's game. Palmer is dealing with a shoulder injury while Oliver has a knee issue. Wide receiver DJ Moore practiced in a noncontact jersey after missing earlier sessions this week. He is recovering from a shoulder injury first sustained in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions and aggravated late in the second quarter against the New England Patriots. Moore will be listed as questionable. With Palmer out, rookie Skyler Bell is set to make his NFL debut. The remaining receivers include Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir and Greg Dortch.
Secondary Deals With Injury Questions
Cornerback Christian Benford will return after missing Week 4 with a toe injury. Maxwell Hairston is slated to start opposite Benford, with rookie Davison Igbinosun also expected to see action. Nickel corner Dee Alford returned to practice after sitting out Thursday and Friday with an ankle injury and is questionable. Practice squad cornerback Te'Cory Couch has not been seen at practice this week. In Week 4 the team used safety Damar Hamlin in the slot after Alford and Couch were unavailable.
