New Leadership in Delaware
The Delaware Blue Coats have named Brad Jones as their new general manager. Jones was chosen by Philadelphia 76ers president Mike Gansey and executive vice president of basketball operations Jameer Nelson. The move follows the departure of the prior general manager, who left to lead the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks.
Jones' Path to the Role
Jones started his career with the Orlando Magic during the time Nelson played there, advancing from intern to positions on the video and personnel staff. For the past eight years he worked in the G League offices in New York, focusing on player contracts and transactions, basketball operations, basketball affairs and player personnel.
Recent Performance and Schedule
The Blue Coats finished 18-18 last season. They will open the 2026-27 G League season on Nov.
