Brewers Path to Title
The Brewers enter Game 5 with an opportunity to finish the series after the Rays extended play with a walk-off win. Milwaukee infielders have made eight errors in the playoffs, including two in Game 4 that allowed runs. The team will rely on Misiorowski, who starts on four days rest after opening the series on Oct. 23. In four regular-season starts on four days rest he posted a 1.64 ERA over 22 innings with 34 strikeouts and three walks.
Rays Options to Extend
Tampa Bay must find a way to handle Misiorowski, who was limited to 78 pitches in Game 1. With limited fresh arms, they are expected to turn to a bullpen game that could include Rasmussen on short rest after his 89-pitch outing in Game 2. Baker, Kelly and Booser remain available after appearing without heavy workloads.
Bullpen Availability
Milwaukee's Murphy can turn to Uribe, who faced six batters over two innings on 19 pitches, and Ashby, who retired seven batters in 2 1/3 innings on 31 pitches. Megill threw just five pitches to one batter in Game 4. The Rays also received two innings from Martinez on 33 pitches, further limiting their depth for a potential long outing.
