Denver escapes, but slow starts remain a concern

The Broncos turned a 16-point halftime deficit into a dramatic victory over the Rams, with Bo Nix scoring on a 1-yard sneak with 47 seconds remaining to finish a 65-yard drive. Denver improved to 2-1, though its early offensive struggles remain difficult to ignore. The Broncos were shut out before halftime and have managed only 10 first-half points this season. Nix completed 6 of 12 passes for 53 yards before the break, then helped spark the comeback despite throwing an interception after halftime. Talanoa Hufanga supplied crucial defensive plays, returning an interception for a touchdown and intercepting another pass on the final snap. Los Angeles squandered opportunities, finishing 1-of-4 in the red zone despite moving the ball effectively early.

Loop gives Baltimore the final word

Tyler Loop converted a 56-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Ravens past the Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro. The finish offered redemption for Loop after a missed kick ended the Ravens' playoff hopes last season. Dallas had rallied from an 11-point deficit but could not protect its late advantage. Derrick Henry scored two touchdowns for Baltimore, continuing his productive opening stretch.

Cousins strengthens his hold in Las Vegas

Kirk Cousins kept the Raiders unbeaten at 3-0 with a victory over the Saints, completing 22 of 33 passes for 248 yards and three touchdowns. With nine touchdown passes this season, Cousins is giving Las Vegas little reason to accelerate Fernando Mendoza's move into the starting role. New Orleans moved the ball behind Tyler Shough, but protection problems and late turnovers undermined its chances. Las Vegas capitalized on those mistakes and now turns its attention to the Chiefs.
