Absences Confirmed for Friday
BYU will be without running back LJ Martin and linebacker Isaiah Glasker when it faces Iowa State. Both players exited last week's contest in the opening half and did not return. The team listed them as out on the availability report, with the running back dealing with a lower-body issue.
Season and Career Numbers for the Duo
Martin has posted 344 rushing yards and three touchdowns this season while averaging 7.8 yards per carry. In the prior campaign he led the conference with 1,305 rushing yards and 12 scores. He has added 13 tackles and two quarterback hurries in the current year.
Replacements and Next Matchup
Preston Rex is expected to handle the bulk of the carries in Martin's absence, while Jake Clifton will start at linebacker. The game marks the final outing before No. 8 BYU hosts No. 3 Notre Dame on Oct. 17.
