Deal Details
The agreement extends the guard through at least the 2028-29 season, when he is set to earn over $21 million. A mutual option for 2029-30 carries a value of nearly $23 million. Pritchard is currently under contract for $7.8 million this season and $8.3 million the following year. The new pact is fully guaranteed and represents a two-year maximum extension.
Recent Performance
Pritchard posted career highs of 17 points, 5.2 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game last season while starting 50 contests. His touches per game rose from 51.8 in 2024-25 to nearly 70, the second-largest increase among players with at least 4,000 touches in each of those seasons. He has started to fill a larger offensive role in the wake of key absences.
Career Context
The 28-year-old, selected by Boston with the No. 26 pick in the 2020 draft, has appeared in 241 games over the past three seasons, tied for the third-most in the league during that span. He is one of only four players in franchise history to sink at least 200 three-pointers in multiple seasons.
