Coastal Carolina Embraces 1990s Style
Coastal Carolina will wear throwback uniforms this weekend that feature a mix of teal, pink, neon green and yellow. The jerseys include confetti patterns and multicolored triangles along with graffiti-style nameplates. The choice stands out because the program began its first season in 2003, well after the decade the uniforms celebrate. The overall design delivers a lively result that draws from a retro era.
Cal and Boston College Offer Unique Details
Cal will use helmets that nod to the Grateful Dead, complete with a skull emblem around the script wordmark, a lightning bolt on the center stripe and dancing bears on the back bumper. Boston College keeps its maroon and gold base but adds stitching that reads Soar High on the collar, an alternate eagle head on the shoulders and the interlocking logo on the golden pants.
UTEP, Utah and Kentucky Round Out the Weekend Looks
UTEP selected its helmet decal through a fan vote, and the running miner design known as Paydirt Pete earned the most support. Utah will repeat its all-white setup with an ice and snow-themed helmet after using the combination in a prior game. Kentucky pairs a black helmet and pants with its classic white and blue jerseys as part of ongoing uniform experiments during a strong start to the season.
