Flagg commands an early investment
Cooper Flagg came off the board at No. 17 in a 10-team head-to-head points mock draft for the 2026-27 NBA season, placing the Dallas forward ahead of several established fantasy names. After meeting high expectations as a rookie, Flagg was selected between Devin Booker at No. 16 and Josh Giddey at No. 18. Karl-Anthony Towns and Tyrese Haliburton completed the round at No. 19 and No. 20, respectively. The result gives managers in similar formats a useful planning marker: waiting beyond the second round could mean missing Flagg.
Cunningham joins the leading picks
Nikola Jokic led the draft, followed by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luka Doncic, Victor Wembanyama and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Cade Cunningham went No. 6, immediately ahead of Jalen Johnson at No. 7. Anthony Edwards, Jayson Tatum and Jalen Brunson rounded out the opening round. The next group also featured early commitments to Amen Thompson at No. 13 and Scottie Barnes at No. 15. Alongside Flagg, those selections highlighted the competition for emerging talent near the top of the board.
Veteran names available later
Managers did not have to spend an opening-round pick on several longtime fantasy standouts. James Harden was selected at No. 26, Kevin Durant at No. 27 and Stephen Curry at No. 31. LeBron James lasted until No. 44. Farther down the board, Joel Embiid went No. 72, Damian Lillard No. 74 and Ja Morant No. 77. Paul George remained available until No. 112. Those slots offer reference points rather than guaranteed bargains. This mock reflects a head-to-head points format, so its draft order is most relevant to managers preparing for leagues with similar scoring.
