Injury Update
Eagles running back Will Shipley suffered a partial tear of his plantar fascia in the loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Backfield Challenges
The Eagles already had starter Saquon Barkley dealing with a hamstring injury and primary backup Tank Bigsby on injured reserve following core muscle surgery. With those two unavailable, Shipley received the start in London. He scored his first career touchdown before leaving late in the first quarter.
Rushing Performance
After Shipley exited, Dameon Pierce handled the main running back duties with Carson Steele in support. The Eagles managed just 22 yards on 18 attempts for a 1.2 yards per carry average in the 19-17 defeat. Pierce recorded 14 yards on 11 attempts, Shipley finished with six yards on five attempts, and quarterback Jalen Hurts added two yards on two attempts.
