Collision in Third Quarter
Rookie linebacker Kendal Daniels was injured during a tackle attempt in the third quarter against the Chicago Bears. He dived toward tight end Colston Loveland following a pass from Caleb Williams and appeared to strike the player's left leg near the knee. Daniels stayed down on the field as medical staff attended to him.
Medical Response and Transport
Staff stabilized Daniels' neck and body before placing him on a gurney and loading him onto a cart. Falcons players and coaches surrounded the area to offer support. As he was taken off the field, Daniels raised his left hand in a fist. The injury occurred with the Bears ahead 21-7 at the 8:48 mark of the third quarter, and Daniels was later taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
Team Update and Background
The Falcons reported that Daniels remains alert with movement in all extremities. A fourth-round selection from Oklahoma, he had started since Week 1 and was serving as the defensive play-caller with the green dot. Divine Deablo was already sidelined by an arm injury, and Josh Woods assumed the green dot role after Daniels left the game.
