Travel Takes Toll on Cleveland
The Guardians reached St. Manager Stephen Vogt delayed naming his Game 1 starter until after arrival and ultimately selected Foster Griffin, who had appeared in relief earlier in the postseason.
Tampa Bay Enjoys Extended Break
The Rays enter the matchup after securing their spot several days earlier and enjoying four full days away from game action. Drew Rasmussen, who threw against the Yankees earlier this month, was tabbed to start the opener on eight days of rest.
