Comeback Seals ALDS Spot
The Guardians overcame an early 2-0 series deficit by winning three straight games to advance. They clinched the ALDS in Game 5 behind a strong start from Gavin Williams and a two-run homer by Jose Ramirez in the fourth inning that provided the lead.
Trolling Follows Final Out
After the win the team posted reminders of the White Sox pregame music from Rate Field when Cleveland trailed 2-0. The Guardians then suggested a different track to mark the end of the series. Additional posts showed a laundry graphic about discarding Sox, a Spirit Halloween edit at the ballpark, and an L train image with a team message. Clubhouse celebrations also copied the White Sox pregame routine.
Next Test Against Rays
Cleveland moves on to face the Tampa Bay Rays with a chance to reach the World Series. Game 1 is set for Monday night at 8 p.m. ET.
