Gundy's Time With the Program
Mike Gundy addressed his departure from Oklahoma State more than a year after the school ended his tenure. He spent 35 years with the Cowboys, including four seasons as a quarterback, 10 as an assistant and 20 as head coach. During his time leading the team he recorded just two losing seasons, his first and his last, with 18 consecutive winning campaigns in between. Gundy described the experience as filled with the fondest memories of his life and noted the great people and organization at the school.
Positive Outlook on Current Team
Gundy expressed excitement about the direction of the program under new coach Eric Morris, who was hired from North Texas after the Cowboys finished the prior season with 11 straight losses to FBS opponents. He said he remains thankful for his time at Oklahoma State and is sporting orange while following the team's progress this season.
