Tyrese Haliburton secured seats in the student section at his former campus for the Indiana Pacers preseason game. The university ran a lottery to distribute those tickets so Cyclone students could fill the area and create a gold-out atmosphere. The contest marks the team's first exhibition of the year and will be played on the Iowa State floor.
Personal Connection Runs Deep
Haliburton attended Iowa State for two seasons from 2018 to 2020 before entering the 2020 draft. He met his wife there and later proposed on the court.
Return After Extended Absence
The matchup will be Haliburton's first appearance in more than 16 months following a torn Achilles suffered in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals. The contest had originally been planned for 2025 but was moved after the injury.
