Back on the Field
Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson took part in practice on a limited basis Wednesday for the first time in 10 days. He sprained his left ankle during the first quarter of a 23-16 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sept. 28 and sat out the following 15-10 victory against the Miami Dolphins.
Personal Milestone at Stake
The upcoming game carries extra weight for Jefferson as it marks his first opportunity to perform before a full NFL crowd in his home state of Louisiana. The Vikings have not played in New Orleans since the 2020 season when attendance restrictions were in place. He has recorded 13 receptions for 179 yards and two touchdowns this season.
Reasons to Push for Return
Jefferson and his quarterback have combined for just 18 snaps because of the ankle injury and a Week 1 concussion. Rather than rest through the Vikings' Week 6 bye, Jefferson is eager to play this week.
