Jokic leads the board
Nikola Jokic claimed the No. 1 selection ahead of Victor Wembanyama in a 10-team roto mock draft for the 2026-27 NBA season, keeping the pair at the center of the debate over fantasy basketball’s top category-league asset. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander followed at No. 3, with Luka Doncic at No. 4 and Anthony Edwards at No. 5. Jalen Johnson came off the board at No. 6, ahead of Cade Cunningham and Jayson Tatum. Tyrese Maxey and Donovan Mitchell completed the opening round.
Haliburton and Giannis draw attention
Tyrese Haliburton was selected at No. 13 after missing a full season because of injury. He went behind Cooper Flagg and Scottie Barnes, but ahead of Amen Thompson. Giannis Antetokounmpo lasted until No. 15, a notable position given the importance of his poor free throw shooting in a category-based format. Karl-Anthony Towns, Derrick White, Bam Adebayo, Pascal Siakam and Anthony Davis were the next selections. The format matters when interpreting those results. Strengths and weaknesses in individual statistical categories can change a player’s appeal compared with points leagues, making this board a format-specific reference rather than a universal ranking.
Recognizable names available later
Stephen Curry remained available until No. 30, while Devin Booker went at No. 35 and Domantas Sabonis at No. 40. Trae Young was taken at No. 45, followed later by Kyrie Irving at No. 47. Further down the board, LeBron James went at No. 64 and Paolo Banchero at No. 70. Damian Lillard, Ja Morant and Joel Embiid were selected consecutively at Nos. 84, 85 and 86, illustrating how far several prominent names lasted in this particular mock.
