Packers running back Josh Jacobs will come off the commissioner exempt list on Monday and become eligible to practice and play the following week. The move ends a period in which he has already missed the first six games of the season. Any suspension longer than six games would require him to sit out additional contests beyond those already missed.
Ongoing Review
The league investigation into Jacobs under the personal conduct policy remains open. He was placed on the exempt list on Aug. 30 while information was gathered about a May 23 incident at his home. Jacobs entered a no contest plea on Sept. 10 to battery, resulting in a $1,000 fine, and accepted a deferred judgment on a property damage charge.
Schedule and Records
After facing the Cowboys on Sunday at Lambeau Field, the Packers travel to play the Lions on Oct. 25. The league has not yet received surveillance video from the home that was referenced in the criminal report. 24, and on Tuesday authorities indicated some documents would be released, though appeals filed Wednesday by Jacobs and the other party seek to keep the material sealed.
