Doncic Sets the Tone
The 27-year-old six-time All-Star has shown strong commitment through intense pregame work and a dedicated regimen that produced a better physique. He topped 40 points 16 times last season while claiming his second scoring title. His presence gives teammates belief that they can compete against anyone if they handle their roles.
Roster Experience and Chemistry
The four big-ticket additions bring limited playoff background, with the group combining for just six postseason starts. The team spent time together in a summer minicamp to build connections. Questions remain about how quickly the new pieces will mesh in high-stakes situations.
Defensive Upgrades and Outlook
The club finished 20th in defense last season, allowing 115.5 points per 100 possessions. The addition of the 7-foot-2 center who averaged 2.4 blocks per game aims to address that area. Projections give the group an 11 percent chance to reach the conference finals, though the front office believes the talent and fit support higher goals.
