Players Stand Behind Coach
Harry Maguire stated that he and his Manchester United teammates stand fully behind Michael Carrick despite the team's recent results. The defender, who captained the side, expressed confidence that Carrick can help reverse the club's fortunes after a difficult period.
Recent Results Highlight Challenges
United have not won any of their last eight matches. A 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth followed a 4-1 loss at Como in the Champions League earlier in the week. Maguire noted that Carrick previously helped the team finish third in the league and secure Champions League qualification.
Call for Greater Responsibility
Maguire acknowledged that both results and performances have fallen short. He indicated that every player must examine their own contributions to improve the team's output. The defender added that the side can still achieve a positive season if changes occur soon, describing the start as disappointing.
