Deep Ball Accuracy Stands Out
Maye completed six of nine passes for 182 yards and two touchdowns on throws traveling 15 or more yards downfield. That performance matched his second-highest total for such completions in a single game. Over the first four contests he had completed 43.8 percent of those deep throws with one touchdown overall.
Injuries Test Depth but Team Responds
The Patriots improved to 3-2 despite injuries affecting several positions including receiver, running back and the offensive line. The team now prepares to host the Jets, who stand at 2-3. Maye noted the group has yet to play a turnover-free game and expressed satisfaction in seeing younger players step into larger roles amid the absences.
