Aces who rewarded their draft price
Jacob Misiorowski and Cam Schlittler set the standard for fantasy pitching in 2026. The Brewers and Yankees right-handers finished second and third overall on the Player Rater for roto/categories leagues, trailing only Cubs outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong. Neither required an early-round investment. Misiorowski went in the 10th round of drafts and Schlittler in the 14th, giving managers elite production without the price attached to the most coveted aces.
Bargains beyond the headliners
Cleveland left-hander Parker Messick made a strong case as the season’s best pitching bargain. Undrafted in most leagues, he delivered a 2.56 ERA across 32 starts and finished among the top-10 starters in both roto/categories and points formats. Philadelphia’s Zack Wheeler overcame a delayed start while recovering from thoracic outlet syndrome to produce a 3.00 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 193 strikeouts in 28 starts. After entering the season without a career save, he displaced Jeff Hoffman and recorded 35 saves, a 1.27 ERA and 97 strikeouts.
