Injury Update and Timeline
The Jets kept Adonai Mitchell on the active roster after he hurt a finger before Week 3, expecting a quick return within four weeks. Instead the receiver had surgery roughly one week later and remains sidelined. He is listed week-to-week and will miss Sunday's matchup, his fourth consecutive absence.
Roster Adjustments and Depth Options
Tim Patrick, back from his own four-week injured-reserve stint, is expected to start opposite Garrett Wilson. Rookie Omar Cooper Jr. has been designated to return after missing four games with a high ankle sprain. Cooper saw only five snaps in the opener before the injury, one of which produced a 30-yard catch-and-run.
Impact on Passing Game and Running Back Situation
Mitchell recorded nine receptions for 122 yards in the first two games. Since his absence the Jets receivers excluding Garrett Wilson have combined for seven receptions and one touchdown. Meanwhile Breece Hall will miss a third straight game with a quadriceps issue. Braelon Allen carried the load in last Sunday's 17-12 win over Cleveland, rushing for 116 yards and one score.
