Arrest Details
Oregon wide receiver Evan Stewart was arrested early Sunday in Springfield on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants. Authorities booked him at approximately 7 a.m. PT that morning. He was released about an hour later to fellow receiver Dakorien Moore. As of Monday morning the school had not issued any public statement regarding the incident.
Game Absence
Stewart did not play in Oregon's home victory against Nebraska on Saturday night. The senior had been downgraded from questionable to doubtful late last week due to an undisclosed injury. Coach Dan Lanning referenced Stewart among the players unavailable for the contest.
