Broad Price Increases Across Schedule

Ticket costs for Capitals contests have risen noticeably in the days after Alex Ovechkin stated this would be his final NHL campaign. The surge affects both home and road matchups, reflecting fan interest in seeing the league's all-time goals leader play out his remaining games.

Final Home Game Sees Sharpest Jump

The April 4 matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Capital One Arena now carries the highest prices on the remaining schedule. The entry-level ticket reached $725 on Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. CT, up 90.3 percent from $381 the prior week. By Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. CT, the top single ticket listed reached $7,279.

Road Contests Also Climb

Away games have recorded meaningful gains as well. Matchups versus the Florida Panthers, Ottawa Senators and Nashville Predators posted the largest reported increases among the Capitals' remaining road slate.
