Green Bay turns to another veteran
Kevin Zeitler is signing a one-year contract with the Green Bay Packers, giving the team another experienced option as it works to address its offensive line problems. Zeitler becomes the third veteran added to the unit since Saturday, following Laken Tomlinson and Mekhi Becton. The signing continues a concentrated effort to reinforce a line that has struggled, with Green Bay now bringing in a longtime starter whose most recent stop was Tennessee.
A substantial workload in Tennessee
Zeitler joined the Titans on a one-year deal last year and moved into the starting right guard role. He started 16 games last season, logging 864 offensive snaps — 92% of Tennessee’s total. His experience also helped provide stability alongside JC Latham, who moved from left tackle to right tackle in his second NFL season. Zeitler posted a 92.2 pass block win rate and won 70% of his run-blocking reps, while allowing 10 sacks.
Experience comes with recent injury history
The 36-year-old also faced health setbacks during his Tennessee stint. Groin and biceps injuries affected his playing time in 2025, and he suffered a quadriceps injury against Jacksonville in Week 18. A first-round selection by Cincinnati in 2012, Zeitler has appeared in 214 career games. The 15-year veteran brings extensive starting experience to Green Bay’s latest attempt to steady its offensive front.
