Jacobs Back on the Field
Green Bay running back Josh Jacobs will rejoin practice on Wednesday after sitting out the first six games on the commissioner exempt list. The team views him as an elite-level back who can provide a spark once cleared to play. He remains eligible to face the Detroit Lions on Sunday if he progresses without issues, though his status will be decided later in the week.
Rushing Attack Lags Behind
Without Jacobs the Packers own the NFL's worst rushing offense through six games at 59.8 yards per contest. That figure sits more than 16 yards below the next-lowest mark and ranks as the third-lowest average by any club through six games in the last 20 years. The team has not reached 100 rushing yards in any outing yet has still secured four wins.
Investigation and Parsons Update
Jacobs could face more missed time depending on the ongoing league review of his personal-conduct case. On the other side of the roster, pass rusher Micah Parsons will not practice this week following last year's ACL surgery, meaning his debut will likely be pushed back further given the short week that follows.
