Packers Control the Game Early
The Packers jumped to an early lead and never looked back in their 23-13 win. They converted nine of their first 10 third downs, including a third-and-5, two third-and-13s and a third-and-6 that ended with a 9-yard touchdown reception. Dallas allowed those conversions while entering the matchup with the league's worst third-down defense at 52.6 percent. Green Bay finished with only 58 rushing yards despite facing the NFL's weakest run defense.
Turnovers and Big Plays Decide Outcome
Green Bay recorded two interceptions in the first half, bringing their season total to six takeaways before halftime. Evan Williams picked off his second pass of the year while Brandon Cisse grabbed his first career interception after a receiver slipped. The Cowboys recorded their first interception of the season when Dee Winters picked off a throw. Dallas also posted its first three-sack game, with Quinnen Williams, Elijah Garcia and Kenny Clark each bringing down the quarterback once.
Key Individual Efforts Stand Out
Matthew Golden caught six passes for 104 yards and a touchdown but also dropped a potential 43-yard scoring pass and another ball later in the game. Dak Prescott threw two interceptions, both in Packers territory. The Cowboys were shut out in the first half for the first time since 2021 and have now allowed at least 20 points in 13 straight games. Green Bay can expect running back Josh Jacobs to return from the commissioner exempt list in time for a potential Week 7 matchup.
