Gonzalez Clears to Play
Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez missed the past two games with a shoulder injury but confirmed he will suit up for the home contest against the New York Jets. He explained that adrenaline masked the issue immediately after it occurred in an earlier contest, yet the time away left him eager to rejoin his teammates on the field.
Brown Returns to the Field
Receiver A.J. Brown took the practice field for the first time since his placement on injured reserve. The veteran safety noted the addition brings another weapon to an already effective passing attack and called it a major lift for the unit.
Line Help and Potential Absence
Second-year offensive lineman Marcus Bryant also returned to drills after recovering from his preseason issue. His availability could offset the expected absence of starting left tackle Will Campbell, who is dealing with a sprained right MCL.
