Back With the Group

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Ben Kindel took part in practice on Tuesday after missing time due to a medical episode. The incident happened on the flight returning from Utah on Oct. 20, when the 19-year-old lost consciousness. He received attention from team medical staff during the flight and stayed overnight in a Salt Lake City hospital before returning to Pittsburgh the next day.

Testing and Recovery Path

After additional testing upon his return to Pittsburgh, he was cleared for conditioning work over the weekend.

Team Outlook

Pittsburgh is off until Thursday, when it hosts Utah. Coach Dan Muse indicated the team will monitor Kindel day by day. Captain Sidney Crosby noted the positive development of seeing Kindel back on the ice. The Penguins have won two straight games after a winless four-game road trip.
