Schedule Adjustments
Game 4 of the American League Championship Series was moved to Saturday at 8 p.m. ET because of rain. Game 5 was rescheduled for Sunday at 5 p.m. ET. The Guardians hold a 2-1 series advantage following their 3-2 victory in Game 3, which started at 1 p.m. ET to beat incoming weather.
Pitching Plans
The starting assignments for the postponed contest remain unchanged. Nick Martinez will take the mound for the Rays. Shawn Armstrong is set to open a bullpen game for the Guardians.
Series Outlook
If needed, Game 6 would be played on Monday and Game 7 on Tuesday at Tropicana Field. A full seven-game series would require four contests on consecutive days. The winner advances to face the Milwaukee Brewers, whose World Series opener is set for next Friday in Milwaukee.
