Adams Set for Extended Time Away
Wide receiver Davante Adams suffered a ruptured hamstring during the Rams' 18-16 loss to the Cardinals. The six-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-Pro will miss six to 10 weeks and is scheduled for a procedure to repair the injury. In six games this season Adams recorded 30 catches for 480 yards and four touchdowns. The team is considering adding a receiver to the roster while he is out.
Additional Roster Setbacks
Nose tackle Poona Ford will miss the remainder of the season after rupturing a triceps. Defensive tackle Kobie Turner is expected to miss a handful of weeks with a groin injury and will likely be placed on injured reserve for at least four games. Kicker Blake Grupe tore an ACL and was placed on injured reserve. The team is evaluating options at the position.
Further Updates and Outlook
Pass rusher Myles Garrett will not return to practice this week after knee surgery in mid-September, having already missed the past five games. Cornerback Trent McDuffie is progressing from a groin injury and his status will be assessed by the end of the week. The Rams entered the season as 5-1 favorites to win the Super Bowl, with those odds now at 12-1.
