Defensive Rookies Making Impacts
Twenty-four rookies have played at least 50 percent of defensive snaps through four weeks. Two have logged every snap for their teams. One cornerback recorded an interception on his first drive but missed nearly all action over the first two weeks after a shoulder issue. A linebacker leads with 27 solo tackles while seeing over 99 percent of snaps and shifting to the edge for 46 percent of his work in Week 4 after starting at 34 percent. Another cornerback leads with three interceptions and six passes defensed while allowing 40 receiving yards per game.
Offensive Rookies Carving Roles
A tight end selected 16th overall scored on a jet sweep in his first drive and followed with seven catches for 105 yards in another outing. He ranks fifth among tight ends with 2.1 yards per route run. A receiver taken fourth overall posted nine catches for 145 yards in his most recent game. An undrafted left tackle has allowed one sack while facing the sixth-highest rate of isolated blocks among players at the position.
