Mixon Deal Falls Through
The Seahawks opted against signing veteran running back Joe Mixon to the practice squad after his physical. The 30-year-old had been released by the Texans in March following a foot injury that caused him to miss the entire 2025 season. In 2024 he rushed for 1,016 yards and scored 11 touchdowns, earning Pro Bowl recognition in his lone year with Houston.
Injuries Force Roster Moves
Rookie first-round pick Jadarian Price was placed on injured reserve Saturday with a chest injury and will miss at least three more games. Practice-squad back Jacardia Wright is also dealing with a foot injury. With the group depleted, the Seahawks plan to sign undrafted rookie Robert Henry Jr. off the Commanders practice squad.
Current Depth and Upcoming Timeline
Emanuel Wilson serves as the lead back while George Holani handles third-down duties and Velus Jones Jr. fills the third spot. Zach Charbonnet remains on the physically unable to perform list as he recovers from an ACL tear suffered in last season's playoffs. He began practicing last Thursday and is eligible after four games but will not debut this weekend against the San Francisco 49ers.
Wilson Steps Up in Recent Win
On Sunday in a 30-23 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, Wilson scored on both a rushing play and a reception. He carried 21 times for 81 yards and added three catches for 39 yards.
