Smith Takes Command
Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith recorded 11 catches for 206 yards and two touchdowns against Iowa, marking his second consecutive 200-yard game. After also posting 12 catches for 217 yards and four scores the prior week, the junior has quickly separated himself in the race. Buckeyes quarterbacks and play-callers have increasingly targeted him even against stacked defenses, and his production leaves little room for others to close the gap.
Rushing Standouts Deliver Big Weeks
Missouri's Roberts rushed 24 times for 211 yards and three touchdowns while adding 29 receiving yards against Florida. Tennessee's Bishop carried 34 times for 220 yards and three scores versus Auburn. Aiden Flora added 22 carries for 212 yards and three touchdowns plus 48 passing yards and two scores against West Virginia. A Boston College transfer to Rutgers recorded 13 carries for 204 yards and one touchdown.
Quarterbacks and Defenders Shine
Alabama's Keelon Russell went 16-for-22 for 285 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 29 non-sack yards and a score versus Mississippi State. Oregon State's Atkinson completed 31 of 34 passes for 427 yards and five touchdowns plus 33 non-sack rushing yards against Colorado State. Colorado's Hopper recorded 10 tackles, five tackles for loss and six run stops against Texas Tech. New Mexico's Brawley notched a 65-yard pick-six and blocked punt for a safety against UTEP.
