Rams managers need an alternative
Puka Nacua is doubtful for Week 3 after missing every practice this week with a groin injury. The Rams receiver also sat out Week 2, though Sean McVay indicated a Week 4 return is possible if his recovery stays on track. Fantasy managers should prepare to replace him. Davante Adams stands to absorb additional targets, while Terrance Ferguson is a potential flex alternative. Outside the Rams, Romeo Doubs, Quentin Johnston and Malik Washington are streaming candidates.
Seattle gets clearance; Chicago loses Williams
Sam Darnold returned to practice and will play against the Commanders despite his glute issue. His availability helps Seattle's surrounding offensive players, although he remains a lower-tier fantasy quarterback option. Jadarian Price is also cleared after progressing from limited participation to a full practice following a chest injury. He is a viable fantasy starter against Washington. Chicago faces a tougher situation. Caleb Williams has been ruled out against the Eagles with a hamstring injury. Tyson Bagent remains in concussion protocol, potentially leaving Case Keenum to start and increasing the risk attached to Bears pass catchers.
Key decisions still pending
Brock Bowers remains questionable with a knee injury. He missed Friday's practice after limited work earlier in the week, but that absence was planned. His upside warrants a fantasy start if he is active. Buffalo receivers DJ Moore and Keon Coleman are questionable with shoulder and ankle injuries, respectively. Khalil Shakir could gain work if Moore sits, while Joshua Palmer and Skyler Bell would become replacement options if Coleman is unavailable. Zay Flowers returned to practice Friday but remains a player requiring a backup plan after his hamstring injury. Another absence would boost Rashod Bateman's appeal. Official Sunday inactive lists are expected approximately 90 minutes before kickoff. Managers should check those announcements before locking in questionable players.
