Madsen Sidelined for Saturday
Boise State will start Max Cutforth at quarterback against Colorado State on Saturday after Maddux Madsen was ruled out with a minor knee injury. The Broncos expect Madsen to return and start the following week against Oregon State. Madsen was listed as questionable after suffering the injury in the fourth quarter against Texas State.
Cutforth Steps Into Fourth Start
Cutforth will make his fourth career start in place of Madsen. He entered the Texas State game late and threw three touchdown passes to lead a comeback from a 25-point halftime deficit. The No. 25 Broncos improved to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in Pac-12 play with that victory.
Broncos Remain Ranked in CFP Poll
Boise State stands as the only ranked Group of 6 team in the first College Football Playoff selection committee rankings released this week.
