Antonio Conte has rejected suggestions of advanced negotiations for any managerial role, including one that would see him replace Michael Carrick at Manchester United. The Italian has been linked with the position after United suffered a 4-1 defeat that placed increased scrutiny on Carrick.
Carrick Remains in Charge
Carrick holds a two-year contract and is set to continue leading the team into their next Premier League fixture. Conte previously guided Chelsea to the Premier League title and the FA Cup during his time in England, and he also managed Tottenham Hotspur before securing the Serie A crown with Napoli.
Measured Approach to Next Role
Conte stressed that he intends to take the necessary time before deciding on his return to management. He described reports about specific financial demands or requirements for complete control as unfounded, noting that any concrete opportunity would require proper discussions with the club involved rather than speculation.
