Striker Back in Fold
Erling Haaland is set to feature when Manchester City travel to Aston Villa on Saturday after sitting out the midweek match. The forward has already netted 12 goals across nine appearances this season. Three teammates continue to be monitored ahead of the trip, though all showed signs of progress in recent days. The manager noted that only Haaland can be considered fully fit at this stage.
Unbeaten Run Continues
City sit three points ahead of Arsenal at the summit following seven straight league victories to open the season. Despite the strong position, the emphasis remains on maintaining momentum rather than complacency. The squad enters the fixture after a sequence of home matches and is described as eager for further success with many matches still ahead.
Supporting Cast Delivers
Rayan Cherki has contributed six goals and two assists in the early weeks, earning praise for his positioning and influence when operating between defensive lines. The team believes his continued deployment in those areas can sustain the positive results. Overall the atmosphere within the group is positive as preparations turn toward the upcoming away fixture.
