Season-Ending Injury Confirmed
Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle Anton Harrison will miss the remainder of the season after a torn ACL in his right knee. The 24-year-old underwent arthroscopic surgery on Thursday that revealed the full extent of the damage sustained earlier this year. The team had already placed him on injured reserve on Oct. 13 following the Week 5 win over Philadelphia.
Injury Happened on Running Play
Harrison suffered the knee issue while blocking during a sweep to the right by Bhayshul Tuten. He grabbed at his right knee after disengaging from the block and dropped to the ground before being helped off the field on a cart.
Background and Recent Performance
Harrison, selected 27th overall in 2023, shifted from right tackle to left tackle during training camp. He posted an 83.7% pass block win rate that ranked 39th among offensive tackles, four spots behind teammate Cole Van Lanen at 84.4%. The Jaguars exercised his fifth-year option in April.
