Late Collapse Leaves Sour Taste
Bryan Mbeumo had given the side the lead after an opponent was sent off, yet a stoppage-time goal allowed the visitors to salvage a point. Lammens noted the disappointment of failing to close out the result when playing with an extra man and said the team must learn how to secure such games to build a strong campaign.
Tough Schedule Offers Chance to Respond
With only six points collected from the opening six games, United face a quick turnaround that includes a Champions League match at Atletico Madrid on Tuesday followed by a Premier League trip to Leeds on Sunday. Lammens said the packed calendar can help the group shake off the recent setback by focusing on the next opportunity rather than dwelling on what went wrong.
Defensive Work Remains a Priority
Lammens pointed out that the manager has repeatedly stressed collective defending and applying pressure, particularly on crosses. While some improvement was visible, a single delivery and header proved costly.
