Rise Through West Brom Ranks
Saido Berahino came through the academy at West Brom before making his debut in 2012. The forward's standout campaign arrived in 2014-15 when he scored 20 goals across all competitions and helped the club finish 13th in the Premier League. That form earned him an England call-up in 2014. Across his time at the club and later at Stoke City he accumulated more than 133 top-flight appearances, the bulk of them with West Brom.
Stoke Move and Later Clubs
Berahino joined Stoke City in 2017 in a deal worth £12 million. He went on to make 56 appearances and score five goals during his spell there. Subsequent moves took him to Zulte Waregem, Sheffield Wednesday, AEL Limassol, Rajasthan United and finally Tabor Seżana, the last club of his playing days.
Burundi Career and New Role
Internationally he earned 18 caps for Burundi. After deciding to retire at 33, Berahino confirmed he will now serve the Burundi national team as a coach, shifting focus to supporting the next generation of players from the country.
