Enrollment in online course
Xavi Simons has joined the Crossover Into Business Program at Harvard Business School. The online course allows professional athletes to study alongside MBA students and learn about the business side of sport and other industries. The program has previously been taken by athletes from the NBA, WNBA, NFL, MLS, NWSL and UFC.
Recovery timeline and activities in the US
Simons suffered an ACL tear toward the end of last season as Tottenham narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League. He is not expected to be match fit until at least the beginning of 2027. While rehabilitating, the Netherlands international has spent time on both the East Coast and West Coast, meeting new people and watching a USC versus Oregon college football game.
Focus remains on return to play
Simons has met Professor Anita Elberse again during his time in Boston. The pair first connected during his spells at Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. He has stressed that returning to the pitch remains his top priority while he continues to develop skills away from football. Tottenham's next Premier League match is against Manchester United on Saturday.
