Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur indicated a possible practice return for edge rusher Micah Parsons as soon as next week. The player has been sidelined since undergoing surgery on his left knee more than 10 months ago and remains on the physically unable to perform list.
Return Window Rules
Once a player on the PUP list begins practicing, a three-week period begins during which the team must either add him to the roster or move him to injured reserve. LaFleur noted that medical staff will make the final call on any activation.
Game Timeline Outlook
Even with a practice return next week, Parsons would be unlikely to play in the Week 9 contest. The team visits New England on Nov. 8, hosts Minnesota in Week 10, then enjoys its bye in Week 11. A debut could come as late as the Nov. 25 matchup at the Rams.
