Multiple Absences Hit Alabama Lineup
Alabama will be without starting cornerback Zabien Brown, tailback EJ Crowell and center Racin Delgatty for the matchup against Texas A&M. The No. 13 Crimson Tide enter the contest looking to end a two-game losing streak. Brown has stood out in a defense that ranks 11th in the SEC in pass defense at 230.9 yards allowed and 15th in yards per attempt at 7.8. Crowell has accumulated 216 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 32 carries, while Trae'shawn Brown and Daniel Hill lead the rushing attack. Delgatty will miss his second consecutive game after an injury sustained in the 20-17 loss to Georgia.
Receiver Remains Out Following Surgery
Star receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams continues to sit out after arthroscopic knee surgery to address a meniscus injury. On the positive side, receiver Mario Craver has recovered from an ankle issue and defensive tackle DJ Hicks is no longer on the injury report. Defensive end Anto Saka remains a game-time decision due to a leg concern. Sophomore Mal Waldrep started at center in the previous outing.
Suspension Adds to Depth Concerns
Alabama has suspended backup defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. for a violation of team rules. Kirkpatrick Jr. had played in all seven games and recorded five tackles. The suspension follows a prior multiple-game ban last season.
