National Leader Recommits
Oregon State freshman wide receiver Jesse Legree has re-signed with the Beavers for the 2027 season. The standout has led the nation with 1,040 receiving yards, 14 touchdown catches and 148.6 yards per game while serving as the focal point of the offense in head coach JaMarcus Shephard's first year.
Early Impact and Standout Games
A three-star recruit ranked as the No. 89 receiver in the 2026 class, Legree wasted little time making an impression. He recorded 136 receiving yards in the opener against Houston and followed with his top performance of the year, posting 240 yards and two touchdowns on eight catches against Texas Tech. He has caught a touchdown in every game, including three against Colorado State on Oct. 3.
Team Momentum and Recruiting Push
The Beavers sit in first place in the Pac-12 after a five-game winning streak and three league victories to start conference play. Legree made his announcement during the bye week in part to help draw additional talent to Corvallis, where coaches JaMarcus Shephard, Mitch Dahlen and Mike MacIntyre aim to build a sustained program.
